About the Author

Peter McNeil is Professor of Design History at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, and Professor of Fashion Studies at the Centre for Fashion Studies, Stockholm University, Sweden.

Vicki Karaminas is Associate Professor in Fashion Theory and Design Studies at the University of Technology, Sydney. She holds the Area Chair for 'Subcultural Style and Identity' for the Popular Culture Association of America.
